With a name like his, you can assume Roy to be a fan-favourite and you would be right. Royally Mine truly does think he is royalty. Big brown eyes holds a poised look with a certain softness to them, making him a truly kind hearted guy. Roy puts his heart into everything he does and it has shown since birth. He was the easiest horse to back, cooperated with everything the Firestone staff threw his way and took it with pride. When he stands in the field, he emits a certain pride that is often overlooked due to how easy going he is. Roy's energy easily translates into his work ethic as he displays an intense amount of love for the sport.
When it's time to race, you can usually find Roy lathered in foam and sweating buckets in the paddock area. He's much different at the track than at home; he fidgets and twitches with nerves right up until he's loaded into the gates. The shadow roll on his bridle helps him focus on his task ahead, and when he breaks from the gate he's all business. Roy likes to settle in behind the leaders right around the third or fourth position, his eyes trained on the runners in front of him. The bay colt isn't necessarily an aggressive runner, but he knows how to use his size and speed in the right places. Around the final turn is when Roy and his jockey like to travel out three wide and hit the leaders with their unassuming speed. This is where he'll rally hard for the win and hit home.
